What is a down hole camera inspection for a water well?

A down hole camera is a specialized camera lowered into a water well to visually inspect the casing, screen, pump, and interior for clogged perforations in well casing, obstructions, corrosion, or debris that may be affecting well performance.

When should you use a downhole camera on a water well?

A downhole camera inspection is recommended when a well has unexplained drops in water production, suspected casing damage, sediment problems, or before purchasing a property with an existing well.

Can a down hole camera identify why my well stopped producing water?

Yes. A downhole camera can quickly identify issues like collapsed casing, pump failure, screen blockage, or sand and gravel intrusion that cause a well to lose production.

How deep can a down hole camera inspect?

Modern down hole camera equipment can inspect wells hundreds of feet deep, making it suitable for the deep-water wells common in west Texas and the Brewster County area.
